STRONG winds could hit Oxfordshire tomorrow, as the remains of Hurricane Gonzalo reach the UK.

The Met Office had issued a severe weather warning saying that trees could be damaged and driving conditions difficult.

Yesterday the warning was lifted for the county because forecasts show the storm is set to head north. Strong winds and gusts of up to 45mph are, however, still expected.

Hurricane Gonzalo devastated areas of Bermuda over the weekend.
