A MISSING parrot has been found in Wallingford following a police appeal.
Police initially said the bird has been stolen, but today said it escaped.
The bird, called Donna, is a female African grey parrot and was being kept outside in a cage while the owner was out.
It went missing from a house in The Shambles at about 6.45pm on Monday.
Donna was traced after it flew into a house in Wallingford on Wednesday and a neighbour who had seen the appeal told the police.
PCSO Sue Harris said: "I want to say a big thank you to the community for coming together to help find this beloved parrot.
"The owners are over-the-moon to have Donna back."
