An e-fit has been released today of a man police want to speak to after two children were sexually assaulted in Harwell.

The first victim had been waiting with a group of friends outside a newsagents in Harwell when a man parked up a silver Vauxhall Astra at about 2.45pm on August 25.

Thames Valley Police said he got out and stood behind the girl, who was under 13, and touched her on her lower back. She felt uncomfortable and moved away from him, thinking it was an accident.

When the shop opened at about 3pm the man, described as wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, touched her inappropriately over her clothes as she walked past him.

Once inside the shop, the same man then touched another girl, also aged under 13, inappropriately over her clothes several times before leaving and driving off.

The man was white and said to be "pink-faced". He was about 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build, with short grey/brown hair.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.

Investigating officer, Pc Simon Charlton of Abingdon CID said:"This was obviously distressing for the young girls involved.

"It was also very blatant behaviour by the man in the middle of a busy shop in the middle of the afternoon.

"We would urge anyone with any information about this incident or who recognises the man in the e-fit to contact us as a matter of urgency on 101."
