A MAN was left with a broken nose and fractured cheek bone after a burly driver assaulted him at traffic lights in Banbury.
The 51-year-old victim got out of his blue Ford Focus to confront the driver of a white VW Golf on Sunday, by Karcher House in Beaumont Road.
A man pulled up in a white Mercedes and got out of the car as the pair argued, before assaulting the Ford driver in the face.
The man was taken to Horton General Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Thames Valley Police issued a plea for information this afternoon, appealing to anyone who saw the Mercedes driver.
He was white, about six foot tall, of a large build and about 30-years-old.
