Police have released an image of a man who could have information about a theft which took place in Witney.
A 82-year-old woman was entering her PIN number while paying for her shopping at Waitrose in the Woolgate Centre on July 4.
She was being watched by a thief who then stole her purse and withdrew cash from her account at a nearby ATM machine.
Investigating officer PC Iain Kyffin, based at Witney police station, said: “I would like to talk to this man, as I believe he could have information vital to this investigation.
“This is one of a number of thefts with a similar method to have occurred in Witney over the past few weeks.
“The offenders are possibly travelling to the area to commit these offences, and we are conducting a thorough investigation into the issue.
“If anyone has any information about this incident, I would ask them to contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.”
