THREE was the magic number for our Camera Club members this week and these majestic birds at sunrise show a trio is never really a crowd.

Shez Honour’s photograph captures peacocks in Weston-on-the-Green, silhouetted in the early morning sunrise.

And it wins Ms Honour a feather in her cap as this week’s worthy winner.

Beaks held high in the air, even the small plumes of feathers on the tops of the bird’s heads are perfectly caught in the radiant light.

But you could almost miss them in amongst the bushes and garden sculptures.

Ms Honour said she hardly had to edit the picture at all to capture the desired effect.

She added: “My camera was on a live button with maximum vivid and warm setting for the sunrise.

“I have the privilege of seeing these peacocks everyday at work and that morning they were out the front whereas normally I see them around the back.

“It always makes my day but they are blooming noisy.”

Four miles south of Bicester, the village of Weston-on-the-Green and has a population of 523.

It has a church with an 11th century tower and a school which dates back to 1808.

The Weston Manor House dates back to the late 15th or early 16th century and is now a hotel.

For next week’s challenge we have decided to go with a topical theme and pay tribute to professor Stephen Hawking with the theme of ‘The Universe’
