Care home users are rehomed

A care home in Harwell has now closed after all the residents were found new homes.
Staff and residents at the Crown Care Home in Harwell, near Didcot, were told in March that the residential home, taken over by Four Seasons Health Care following the collapse of Southern Cross last year, would close within months.
There were seven elderly residents but Four Seasons, which managed the home, has not provided any details about where they have been rehoused. The home closed on April 27.
Four Seasons spokesman Sarah Ramamurthy said: “The transition went smoothly and all residents now have alternative accommodation.”
The seven residents were being looked after by about 20 staff and Ms Ramamurthy said Four Seasons had consulted with staff and offered them the opportunity to transfer to other homes in the area, which are managed by the same group.
