Clubber may lose sight in one eye after Oxford assault

A NIGHTCLUBBER may be left blind in one eye after an assault in Oxford in the early hours of today.

Police said two men were injured in The Bridge nightclub just before 2.40am.

One of them, a 23-year-old, suffered a serious eye injury and may lose the sight in it, while another man suffered broke teeth.

A 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Det Con Karl Ralph said: “This was a very nasty attack which might cost one of the victims the sight in one eye.

"We would ask that anyone who was in the club at around the time of the incident to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
