A MAN was pulled from the River Cherwell in Banbury by firefighters in the early hours of this morning.
The fire service was called at 2.10am after a man was seen in the water about 50 metres downstream from the bridge in Station Approach.
Firefighters wearing life jackets and carrying rescue lines immediately started the search and found him half way between the approach and Tramway.
He was rescued from the water and left in the care of the ambulance service.
