THEY have worked through blistering heat and freezing cold temperatures.
But after a year’s hard slog, a project to restore a historic wall has finally been completed.
Thanks to a grant from the Cotswold Conservation Board, volunteers from the Wychwood Project were able to rebuild a collapsed wall near St Oswald’s Church in Widford, near Burford.
Jane Bowley, from the Wychwood Project, said: “We started around June or July last year.
“We had a really hardworking gang who have worked through hail and high water.
“They’ve been burnt to frazzle and frozen solid but we have finished.”
