Why on earth is the woman described as "elderly", she might not even have reached retirement age yet.
Perhaps the reporter is a child but life expectancy is much greater nowadays and I am disgusted to see her described this way. Had she been in her nineties it would be more understandable but such ageism really annoys me.

Totally agree with HJHarris. When I read "elderly" I was surprised to see "in her 60s".
That aside, I hope the lady is recovering well.

Irrespective of her age I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.

I'm 64, and you know what? It is a matter of monumental indifference to me.
But I would LOVE to live in a civilised country with no list of "-isms" disapproved of by a Left wing elite.

Because she IS. Life expectancy is 80 so somebody in their 60s is elderly, 40s middle aged and 20s young. It is a fact, get over it.
