A group of playful dolphins was spotted near the Farne Islands off the Northumberland coast in a mesmerising video.
Lauren Mitchell, a teaching assistant from Gateshead, took the incredible footage of the pod of dolphins while she was on a boat trip.
Posting the videos on Twitter, she said: “Soooo this happened today…”
Visitors on the boat trip saw the pod of bottle-nose dolphins putting on a friendly display, jumping in and out of the water very close by.
Mitchell said she wanted to use the videos to create an awareness of pollution in the oceans and cutting down on single-use plastics.
She said: “Keeping the oceans clean and pollution free is really important to me to ensure marine life such as these stay healthy and safe.”
