DOG owners are being warned to keep their pets on a lead in the countryside as farmers have raised concerns about their livestock being harassed.
Thames Valley Police said the issue was a major concern now that the weather is getting warmer.
A force spokesman said: “It is important that dogs are kept under control to protect the livestock as well as you and your pet.
“Livestock that are killed or injured as the result of an out of control dog is a criminal offence. During such attacks dogs can be injured too.”
