The Oxford Olympic Torch Celebration was quite a sight to behold, it had everything and then some. What stood out the most were the young guns who got everybody nicely pumped up for the main event of the night. The Torch being bought into South Park onto the stage by a really awesome bloke who had a lot of good/bad jokes to tell.

Olympic Flame comes to West Oxfordshire

Today saw the Olympic flame arrive in Woodstock and was taken throught the grounds of Blenheim Palace. Thousands of people turned out to cheer, scream and smile at the torch. It was a fantastic afternoon that everyone will remember for years to come as today it was West Oxfordshires moment to shine.

A day when kirtlington was tranformed into a body mass, with union jacks held high, whistle blowing, shouting and clapping as the olympic convoy passed by this small village in Oxfordshire.

Day 52 The Torch through Woodstock, Blenheim

As you can see from my photos, the last bit of the Woodstock Blenheim Torch Relay was some of the best. Seeing the Torchbearer finish her leg of the relay and hand over the flame to be transported to Kidlington...well worth the 45 minute wait to get the car out of the carpark!
