Sir – When attending my regular appointment at the Eye Hospital, the thought of having once again to sit for two hours gazing at the so called ‘mural’ on the walls in the waiting room fills me with despair.
I have heard it described by fellow patients as looking like ‘a piece of old blotting paper’ or ‘damp coming through the wall’.
People with poor eyesight who have to sit for any length of time need something bright and colourful to look at; perhaps the mural could be painted over, and students from the Ruskin School of Art provide us with something more appropriate? We can only hope.
