Firefighters broke into a house with a sledge hammer and saved a woman from a kitchen fire.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a flat in Banbury Court, Abingdon, at 5.32am on Saturday.
The alarm was raised by a neighbour who heard a smoke alarm sounding. The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service.
Watch manager Kevin Kerry said the fire was caused by cooking that had been left unattended.
