More than 100 homes were without power in Frilford, near Abingdon, this morning.
Energy provider SSE believes the problem was caused by issues with its overhead wires from its high voltage network.
The problem, which affected 136 customers, was reported at 8.07am.
Engineers were sent to the scene and the power cut was fixed by 11.51am. An SSE spokeswoman apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Meanwhile, four properties feeding off electricity from Ruskin College in Dunstan Road, Oxford, are currently without power due to a planned outage while work is carried out at the college.
An SSE spokeswoman said: "They were offered generators for the duration of the outage but they have declined it."
