About 50 homes in Abingdon are suffering from low water pressure because of a burst water main.
Thames Water has said engineers are on site now trying to fix the problem, but the pipe is on private land so no traffic is affected.
The firm said houses higher up are more likely to be affected because water has to be pumped further.
Spokeswoman Sarah Sharpe said: “We’re sorry to customers in Abingdon affected by low pressure today.
“Our teams are working hard to fix the burst pipe at the root of this problem, and engineers are also planning how to re-route water across our network of pipes to increase supplies to the area.”
