A FAMILY in Abingdon were given an extra Easter treat when two lost bunnies came to play on their doorstep.

Jennifer Lamboll, from South Abingdon, and sons James, nine, and Alex, 11, had just returned triumphant from an Easter egg hunt at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Great Milton, where the boys had won first prize.

But that was not the only surprise Easter had in store for them.

Mrs Lamboll said she had just begun cooking at around midday when the boys rushed in, shouting “there’s rabbits”.

Two lop-eared rabbits, one ginger and one white and ginger, were hopping around on the driveway.

When they could not discover who owned the animals, they contacted the RSPCA whose inspector scanned the rabbits and took them to the local vet, K J Fraser in Cauldercott Road.

If you are the owner of the rabbits or know who they belong to call Mr Fraser on 01235 528177.
