A 17-YEAR-OLD boy from Abingdon was taken to hospital with head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Preston Road.
Police are appealing for information after a Skoda Octavia car was involved in a crash with the teenager, who was cycling towards Baker Road yesterday.
The boy was taken to the John Radcliffe in Oxford for treatment. The driver of the Skoda, a 70-year-old man, was not injured.
Investigating officer, PC Darren Baker from Roads Policing based at Abingdon said: “I would like to thank the people who quickly came to the aid of the injured cyclist until the ambulance arrived and I would appeal to anyone who saw the cyclist or the Skoda Octavia estate before the collision occurred, or the collision itself to contact the police on 101.”
