POLICE have tonight launched an appeal to trace a woman who could hold vital clues into the murder of Kerry Reeves.
The 26-year-old was shot in the head outside a block of flats in Thornhill Walk, Abingdon, on Tuesday last week, and rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she died nearly two days later.
A post mortem examination yesterday found she was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.
Police launched an appeal tonight to trace a woman spotted sitting in a white vehicle in Thornhill Walk around the time of the shooting.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Lynch of Major Crime, urged the woman to contact the force immediately.
He added: “We have information to suggest that a woman was sitting in a white vehicle outside Thornhill Walk off Northcourt Road at around the time of the shooting last Tuesday.
“The woman in the vehicle may not have seen or heard anything suspicious, but we would still like to speak to her as a potential witness in this murder investigation.
“I would appeal directly to this woman or anyone who knows her to contact police immediately.”
Two 20-year-old men, one from Corby, Northamptonshire, and the other from Ealing, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.
