A MULTIPLE sclerosis patient raised almost £700 for two charities close to her heart.
Michelle X, 48, walked for 24 hours around Albert Park in Abingdon on Christmas Eve.
She announced this week she will split the money between Christ Church Abingdon and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington, where she is treated for her condition.
Ms X, who lives in Lammas Close in Abingdon, said: “I am doing it for everybody in the community. I don’t think there is a single person in this town who doesn’t know someone helped by John Radcliffe.
“I have had friends with medical problems and my granddaughter was born three months premature and put in intensive care for weeks.”
Wearing a hand-sewn costume complete with wings and fairy lights, Ms X walked more than 50 miles with her friend Lee Aaron Talbot, and her dogs Scrappy Doo and Foxy.
