Burglars flee after alarm goes off during jewellery theft
Burglars tried to steal jewellery from a house in Sutton Courtenay but were forced to flee when the alarm sounded.
Thames Valley Police said they broke into the house in Drayton Road yesterday between 8.45am and 6.15pm after entering the garden and forcing open a window.
It is believed the offenders were disturbed and made off when the alarm sounded.
Jewellery boxes from a bedroom were found outside on the patio area.
