AUTHORS shared their stories with youngsters and their parents at the first ever Blackwell's Children's Book Festival.
Millets Farm in Frilford near Abingdon hosted the two-day festival at the weekend with some of the best children's authors reading extracts and putting on workshops over the weekend.
Youngsters had the chance to learn how to put together their own comic books as well listen to extracts from a selection of books over an action-packed two days.
Justin Ribeiro dos Santos took his three-year-old daughter Nell along for the afternoon.
The 38-year-old from London, who was visiting his wife's parents in Kingston Bagpuize for the weekend, said: "Nell absolutely loved it and we actually ended up buying one of the books we heard an extract from - it was a really nice experience.
"We were sat in this old wagon and a couple of authors read to everyone it was a lovely way to start the afternoon."
It is hoped the festival - organised by the famous Oxford bookshop - will return next year.
