A 33-year-old man has been arrested after police were called to a fight in a garden in Drayton.
Thames Valley Police said the incident, in Hilliat Fields, was reported just after 10.20pm yesterday.
A man was assaulted and received head injuries that required hospital treatment, while a woman received minor injuries.
The man was discharged from hospital. This morning the home was cordoned off.
Afterwards police said a 33-year-old man from Yarnton was arrested connection with the incident on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The force said he was in custody.
A police spokeswoman added: "Officers attended and are investigating the incident of grievious bodily harm and of common assault.
"A scenewatch was in place however has since been lifted. Anyone with any information about the incident should call police on 101."
