TWO masked men armed with a knife and baseball bat threatened four people in an Abingdon home before smashing a television and computer.
A 19-year-old man suffered minor injuries after he was hit in the face during the raid at the house in Willow Brook on Tuesday at about 10.45pm.
The incident happened close to Abingdon Police Station in Colwell Drive.
The other victims were a 57-year-old man, 48-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.
The attackers left without stealing anything but they smashed the television and a laptop screen.
Detective Sergeant Alun Watkins said: “At this early stage it is not clear what the motivation was for this incident.
“It was clearly upsetting for those in the property at the time.
“We believe that one of the offenders had a baseball bat and that the other had a knife.”
Yesterday Daryl-Hannah Rogers, 17, who lives in the street, said she was shocked to hear about the crime.
She added: “It is a quiet family place and right next to the police station.”
Another neighbour, mum-of-two Louisa Barlow, 39 said: “It is a really quiet area and you never hear of anything like this.
“But there has been talk about a lot of burglaries around south Abingdon so people have been on edge.”
Last night no arrests had been made.
Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
