Army wives sing

Abingdon’s Military Wives Choir will sing in public for the first time today.

The group, featuring the wives and girlfriends of soldiers at Dalton Barracks, will sing in the Market Place between noon and 1.30pm.

Last year choirmaster Gareth Malone worked with wives and girlfriends from two army bases in Devon for the BBC2 series The Choir. They went on to record the hit single Wherever You Are.
