Assault victim needed ear surgery

A 30-year-old man suffered broken ribs and needed surgery on his ear after an assault near Mak Wines off-licence in Peachcroft Road.
The victim, who could not describe his attacker, was assaulted at about 6.45pm on Sunday.
He was treated at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
