A CAR crashed with a tree near Barford St Michael, near Deddington, leaving one person trapped on Sunday.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the collision at 6.52pm after a car hit a tree on the B4031 Iron Down Hill.

An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said fire crews from Banbury and Deddington were at the scene, as well as a "specialist rescue chamber" from Kidlington.

One person was released from the car by the fire service and left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust, the fire service added.

There were no details available on the person's condition.
