A woman charged with the attempted murder of a patient at the Horton Hospital in Banbury has been bailed.

Julia Knight, 55, of Sycamore Drive, Banbury, was charged on Thursday and appeared today at Banbury Magistrates' Court.

The charge states that on October 7 2014 at the Horton General Hospital she attempted to murder Irene Robson.

It has been confirmed that Knight is not an employee at the hospital.

Knight was bailed on condition she is under a daily curfew between 9pm and 9am daily, must wear an electronic tag, must not to contact Irene Robson or Trevor Charles directly or indirectly, must not enter West Bar Surgery or Sainsbury’s in Banbury or contact their staff, must not to go to Southerndown Care Home in Chipping Norton or anywhere else Irene Robson may be living and must not apply for, or take employment in any nursing or care position.
