AN ANIMAL carer from north Oxfordshire will be appearing in an RSPCA Christmas TV special this year.

The Dog Rescuers, a programme that follows the canine rescue work of the RSPCA, across England and Wales is returning for a festive special on Tuesday, December 15.

The show will be presented by Alan Davies and showed on Channel 5 at 8pm.

This year The Dog Rescuers follows RSPCA inspector Lauren Bailey, who works in Banbury and north Oxford, as she journeys to Lapland on an Arctic adventure to discover how one dog sled organisation is blazing a trail for the welfare of working husky dogs.
