AN ONLINE campaign to get people in North Oxfordshire fitter and more active has been launched.
Each day in January, Cherwell District Council’s recreation and health team will be promoting a different local club or fitness routine on its Facebook page.
The campaign, called Get Fit and Lean in 2016, will feature exercises, which can be completed at home or work, and activities supported by the council across the district.
District council deputy leader George Reynolds said: “One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to get fit, tone up and lose weight and we want to help with that.
“Not everyone wants to sign up to a gym or make that financial commitment, so we want to promote the other opportunities which are available with our Get Fit and Lean in 2016 campaign. Whether people would prefer to get fit with a sports club, dance their way to a better body with zumba or exercise in the privacy of their own home we will be working hard to offer something for everyone.”
The messages will include demonstration videos and club details.
