THE train line through Banbury has reopened after a fatal collision in North Oxfordshire this morning.
Network Rail has said normal service has now resumed on the line.
British Transport Police said it was called to the railway in Little Bourton north of Banbury at 9.40am to reports someone had been struck by a train.
Paramedics also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they are working to identify the person and inform their family.
They said the death is not being treated as suspicious but a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Chiltern Railways said its services this morning were being delayed and disrupted because the line is blocked.
Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Banbury the line is blocked, our trains are subject to delays and alterations.
