A MAN found with knives near Buckingham Palace has been detained indefinitely in hospital.
John Bolton of East Street in Banbury was found with three lock knives near the palace in London last year.
He was arrested at Hyde Park Corner on June 9 just days before official celebrations commenced for the Queen's 90th birthday.
The 48-year-old, who was said to be wearing an SAS-style beret and radio at the time, went on the run last summer prompting a warrant for his arrest.
He was given an indefinite mental health order at a sentencing hearing at Southwark Crown Court today.
He had also pleaded guilty to a 2015 offence of having a commando knife in Parliament Square where Remembrance Day events were taking place.
