A MAN has died after a car crash in which another man left the scene.

The green Porsche Boxster and blue Ford Fiesta collided in foggy and frosty conditions on Oxhey Hill in Cropredy, near Banbury, on Tuesday morning.

Police initially said a man wearing a high-visibility jacket who had been in one of the cars had left the scene, possibly with serious injuries, and they were trying to find him as soon as possible.

This afternoon officers said a a 25-year-old man who was in the Ford has now died from his injuries in hospital in Coventry.

Investigating officer PC Julia Stroud, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision.

"We believe we have located a man we had been appealing for who had been travelling in the Ford Fiesta and would like to thank the public for their assistance in providing information."
