THE group which campaigns for Banbury's Horton General Hospital has warned of an apparently good news report that 'the devil is in the detail'.

Keep the Horton General said that it still wanted to be part of any consultation on services moving forward.

The group commented after Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, the board of county GPs who commission health care services for Oxfordshire, announced it would review plans threatening A&E and children's services.

Keep the Horton General chairman Keith Strangwood said: "The devil is in the detail.

"What we don’t know is the extent of the commitment: how long is it for? Exclusions are hinted at – what are they?’

"KTHG is very keen to be part of any consultation process moving forward. We represent the people of Banburyshire and all we seek is the best possible outcome for them."

The OCCG will meet at Banbury Town Hall from 9am on Thursday to discuss the recommendation to scrap phrase two of its controversial Oxfordshire 'transformation' plan.
