Pensioner rescued from flat fire

AN elderly man was rescued from his flat by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service after a fire broke out in his kitchen.
Two fire engines from Banbury went to the blaze in Middleton Cheney at 3.07pm yesterday.
The man was suffering from smoke inhalation and was given a thorough check up by paramedics before being allowed to return to his home.
