Grenade found on Banbury building site

7:30pm Wednesday 25th April 2012 in Banbury

Bomb disposal experts were at a building site in Banbury tonight following the discovery of a Second World War smoke grenade. The Army team from 11 EOD Regiment was called to the site off Middleton Road, Grimsbury, shortly after 2pm. A controlled explosion was carried out.

Yet when they were exploding all over the place we kept on going and didn't close the roads then. What a bunch of wimps we are breeding now. Just imagine if it was 1939 now. Mummies would be going mad that their little Tristran would have to go and fight the nasty man, and on a boat that has not got it's "elf and safety" certificate.

It may sound a bit drastic but Banbury is such a mess and is a disorganised and unpleasnt place to be sometimes demolition of the whole town is the best thing for it!
