Man is arrested in river drama
9:30am Monday 30th July 2012 in Banbury
POLICE were called after a car window was smashed in Middleton Road, Banbury, at about 2am yesterday and reports a man was being chased.
Fire crews pulled a man from the River Cherwell, between Station Approach and Tramway Road.
A 32-year-old woman, who was attempting to help, was taken to Horton General Hospital, Banbury, after swallowing water.
A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
