A BICESTER man charged with stealing from town shops appeared at court yesterday.
Paul Wyeth, 33, of Shackleton Close, faces five counts of shoplifting and one count of burglary, alleged to have taken place between October 25 and Friday morning.
Tesco in Holm Square was burgled on October 25, when groceries were stolen, and a bottle of wine was stolen in a burglary from Tesco in Hart Place on November 16.
Co-op in Bassett Avenue was burgled on November 29 and December 1 and groceries were stolen.
Perfume was stolen in a burglary at Wilkinsons in Bicester Market Place on December 4.
A charity box was also stolen from Wilkinsons at about 4.20am on Friday.
Wyeth appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday and bailed until March 2.
