A CYCLIST was seriously injured in an accident involving a van near Bicester.
The 40-year-old man is being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital following the collision on the A41 near Graven Hill on New Year’s Eve.
Police did not release details of the collision until yesterday.
The man was cycling towards Bicester at about 5.30am when he was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes Sprinter van travelling in the same direction.
Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the cyclist or van before the accident.
