THE next phase of Bicester's eco-town has been approved.
At a Cherwell District Council planning committee meeting tonight, councillors voted unanimously in favour of the next stage of plans which include 2,000 'much needed' new homes.

Included in the plans will be be a new primary school. A total of 6,000 homes will be built and work began last April.
Councillor David Hughes said it was important to approve the decision because of the "ambitious" vision of an eco friendly Bicester.
Mr Hughes said: "This is how all developments should be in future.
"We want to look back and say what a success it has been and it is up to us to make it happen."
