Convicted murderer Levi Bellfield has finally admitted killing school girl Milly Dowler, 14 years after her tragic death.

The serial killer, who worked as a wheel clamper in Bicester at the time of some of his murders, has also confessed to a series of other brutal attacks.

He told police he raped and killed the 13-year old, despite denying it since his conviction five years ago.

Milly was snatched on March 21, 2002 as she walked home from school in Walton-on-Thames.

After a six-month hunt her remains were found by mushroom pickers in Yately Heath Wood in Hampshire.

Bellfield ran a clamping firm which operated in several pub car parks, including The Angel and The White Hart in Sheep Street, Bicester.

He was working as a clamper around the time he bludgeoned two other girls to death at bus stops in London.

As part of the police investigation officers interviewed Bicester residents and one gave evidence during the four-month trial.
