WORK is ploughing ahead on Bicester's new Tesco set to open on April 14.

The building forms part of the 60,000sq m business park being built off the A41 Oxford Road.

It is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the town and replace the existing store that will be swallowed up by the expansion of Bicester Village.

These jobs will be put to prospective employees on Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5.

Bicester store manager Paul Phillips said: "We are really looking forward to opening.

"We have a great team in place and are so pleased we are able to offer over 100 more jobs to local people.

"We would like to encourage anyone who is interested in a career in retail to come and see us over the weekend, so we can talk to them about the great opportunities."

The new business park will include a hotel and a 1,837 car park.

People interested in the new jobs are invited to the Bicester Business Centre in Telford Road, between 9am and 7pm to meet recruiters.
