Oxford Mail:

  • Peter Stockdale, from Headington, Oxford, who finished the Bicester parkrun in the fastest time.

Speaking after the race, Mr Stockdale said: "It was a great day.

"The parksrun has a really friendly and supportive atmosphere and is not really a race as such but more for people who want to go out on a Saturday morning and have a run at whatever standard or pace.

"It is always nice to finish first, although I mainly do long-distance running and so am not usually the fastest runner on a course like this."
