FASHION fans can start their countdown as Bicester Village has announced the opening date for its expansion.
Over recent months building work has ploughed ahead on 31 new shops being added to the designer outlet.
Now the Village has announced it will open in just over one month's time.
The new shops are expected to open on Thursday, October 19 and will bring the total number of stores at the centre up to more than 160 – almost a fifth bigger than its size before it was expanded.
The expansion will create at least 450 additional new jobs, bringing the total number of people employed at Bicester Village to 3,500.
Some of the vacancies that have been created at the new stores, including work over the Christmas shopping season, are being displayed at the next Bicester Village Talent Day this Sunday.
It will be staged at the John Paul II Centre in Causeway, Bicester, from 11am to 4pm and will include jobs at existing stores as well as new ones.
