GOD knows what the honey will taste like...

This brazen bee is obviously not deterred by the pungent aroma as it probes an ornamental garlic flower.

Either way, it's a beautiful photo by Oxford Mail Camera Club member Duncan Becker, sent in for this week's challenge theme – the colour purple.

Duncan revealed he took the photo at an Oxfordshire hidden gem – Rousham House and Gardens near Bicester.

Remaining almost exactly as it was landscaped in the early 18th century by the renowned William Kent, the estate is a prime spot for a bit of photography.

As far as we know, Duncan's is the only shot from Rousham submitted so far for this week's theme, but we've also been inundated with indigo images of candyfloss, lavender, and even the Cheeky Girls live in concert...

If you want to get in on the action just search on Facebook for Oxford Mail Camera Club and join up.

As usual we will have our spread of this week's best photos in Friday's paper and will announce our weekly winner of the £25 grand prize on Saturday.

Here's hoping for a purple patch this week...
