A mirror set a house on fire in Hengest Gate, Didcot.
Firefighters went to the house on Monday at 1pm after sunlight on the convex side of a shaving mirror set fire to a blind.
The mirror was close to the window in the first floor bathroom and the fire spread to the wooden window frame and the timber cladding outside the house.
Station manager Paul Webster said such fires are rare but the potential is heightened at certain times of the year due to the angle of sunlight through windows.
