A MICROBREWERY will soon start bubbling craft beer in Kennington.

Home-grown business LAM Brewing, which currently operates out of a kitchen in the founder's home in Sandford-on-Thames, has acquired unit 68 in Sandford Lane Industrial Estate to expand production.

Kurt Moxley, who set up the small company in October 2014, has now applied to Vale of White Horse District Council for a licence to let people watch the magic happen, sample the beer and buy some of the brews.

He spoke to the Oxford Mail last year, while he was still searching for a premises, about how setting up the brewery was a "massive adventure".

Mr Moxley said in his licence application: "We will have an area for customers to taste our craft beers and to visit the unit for brewery tours and education.

"There will also be occasional open days and evenings. We also intend to be able to sell our beers for visitors to take away or consumer on the premises".

The application adds music may be played occasionally to entertain visitors on open days.

The licence would give the brewery the flexibility to open up to the public until 11.30pm and 1am on New Year's Eve

According to the council website, the licence is still under consultation.
