MOTHER-OF-TWO Sue Taylor staged a protest yesterday when contractors blocked the access to her home.

Mrs Taylor, who lives on the Great Western Park estate, was upset when repair work blocked the access to her home in Peacock Mews.

As a result she turned the tables on contractors and used one of her cars to block their path for two hours.

She said the issue had troubled residents for the past fortnight.

Mrs Taylor, 50, a personal assistant, said: “Despite personal contact with Taylor Wimpey and the workmen on Monday when they assured me that access would not be denied, I was denied access to and from my garage and driveway overnight and so were my neighbours.

“There is no alternative parking available due to parking constraints on local roads.”

Taylor Wimpey spokesman Brian Peers said the “mix-up” over repairs to block paving had now been sorted out and contractors had apologised for any inconvenience caused.
